Celebrating 10 Years of Building a “Forever” Business
During the opening of FUNcon ‘19, Fonteva CEO and co-founder, Jerry Huskins, told a story that provides a glimpse into the success Fonteva has enjoyed under his leadership, over the last 10 years. Jerry shared that as a teenager, he and his family spent their weekends building his parents’ “forever house” in his native Tennessee.
This was the house that his parents planned to live in for the rest of their lives, and indeed, they are still there today. The house was framed with 2×6’s rather than the traditional 2×4 and was made to be as energy efficient as possible. As Jerry noted, “No hole was too small to fill and no detail was unimportant in this endeavor because this house was being built to last – forever.”
That mindset has stuck with Jerry, and it influences the way he has built and guided Fonteva, the company he co-founded with Paul Lundy ten years ago. “What kind of company are we building,” he asked a packed house at FUNcon. “We are building a company that will stand the test of time. We are building the strongest company possible, one where our customers can feel at home and stay, we hope, forever. We have to honor the trust you, our customers and partners, have shown us and we strive to deliver the greatest software experiences for you today, tomorrow, and I hope, forever.”
As Fonteva celebrates its 10th anniversary in business, the leadership of Jerry, and co-founder Paul Lundy, has solidly positioned Fonteva with the foundation and frame of a ‘forever home’ for the nearly 400 organizations who have put their trust in Fonteva.
While the success of its customers is the ultimate metric for Fonteva, the last decade has seen a number of awards and accolades that have followed as a result of that commitment. Highlights of these recognitions and achievements include:
- Inclusion in Inc. 5000 Fastest growing companies list seven consecutive years
- Top Salesforce.Org ISV partner from 2017-2020
- Named a Salesforce Premier Partner in 2017
- ASAE Strategic Partner starting in 2018
In addition, Fonteva has solidified its standing through the 2019 acceptance and final approval of the US Patent for the framework architecture that it employs to develop its membership and event management platform on top of Salesforce.
While 2020 made it impossible to celebrate Fonteva’s tenth anniversary as we had planned, it has provided an opportunity to review and reflect on our successes and where we have room for improvement as we continue to refine and improve the “forever home” for our customers.
